Solid Concepts now offers a fast and inexpensive solution to simple model making with Z-Corp Color 3D Prints. This additive manufacturing technology is the easiest way to quickly turn 3D CAD data into real colored parts. Parts are created with powdered plaster composite material coupled with a 4 color printing process, allowing for 390,000 possible color combinations. Color is printed directly into the part during the build process, not merely on the surface. This type of color finish eliminates the need for paint during post-processing.
Z-Corp 3D Color Prints are ideal for users looking for a cost-effective 3D printing solution for projects not requiring high accuracy or durability.

Solid Concepts provides a standard Z-Bond infiltrate finish on all Z-Corp Color 3D Prints to improve the surface finish and enhance color. Hand sanding and cosmetic clear coats are also available to better enhance model appearance.
To produce Z-Corp 3D Color Prints, Solid Concepts needs files provided in a format that supports color mesh, such as VRML, PLY, 3DS and ZPR. Alternatively we can apply the color or images you provide to your specification as an additional service. Any section not colored in the file will be bright white as white is the natural material color.
While there are hundreds of 3D CAD modeling software programs available, the following are common programs that support exporting to the VRML, PLY, 3DS and/or ZRP formats.
