Production Administrator
Responsibilities
- Liaise between Manufacturing departments, Accounting, Shipping and Project Engineering as necessary to facilitate smooth scheduling of on time deliveries
- Assist Project Engineering staff as necessary with review and acceptance of customer purchase orders for correct pricing, delivery and product specifications
- Assist Project Engineering staff with entry of Work Orders for use in production and verify that all information is correct and complete
- Communicate clear and complete information to accounting to facilitate accurate invoicing
- Maintenance of department records including filing of job folders, shipping reports, update of customer information, etc.
- Coordinate receipt of products from vendors and product shipments to customers
- Assist in answering/routing customer calls for Engineering Department
- Perform other tasks as required by the Production Administrator Supervisor/Project Engineering Manager
Qualifications
- Computer proficiency with MS Windows, MS Office
- Understanding of SCI products and services

Part-Time Web and Application Developer
Solid Concepts Inc. is seeking a highly-motivated self-starter with exceptional multitasking skills and an interest in .NET development.
Job duties will include:
- Consult with clients on rapid prototyping requirements
- Working on internal tools and applications, intranets and public facing web applications
Educational Requirements:
- Computer Science/Computer Engineering major or equivalent with a Bachelor's/Master's degree or senior undergraduate students with a combination of education and experience
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, test and debug programs and enhance moderately complex web-based interactive programs
- Complete program specifications and develop / implement programs with limited supervision
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and recommend solutions for assigned Trouble Tickets
We are seeking an individual with experience in building web and desktop based applications.
Must have experience using the following technologies:
- ASP.NET 2.0-4.0, C#, LINQ, WebForms, MVC
- WinForms

Project Coordinator
The applicant must have an understanding of manufacturing processes and excellent personal/communications skills. Also, you must be able to handle multiple projects that are scheduled for rapid turnaround times.
Job duties will include:
- Consult with clients on rapid prototyping requirements
- Recommend appropriate prototype solutions after review of requirements
- Prepare pricing and quotes for in-house and subcontracted products
- Consult with P&L managers for pricing and delivery
- Contract review and negotiations
- Documenting client quality requirements
- Coordinating all manufacturing activities to meet client's requirements
The ideal candidate will also have:
- Exposure to manufacturing methods and environments and quality requirements
- Familiar with 2D drawings and 3D CAD.
- History of working with Customers and Sales Team with the ability to identify needs to provide creative technical solutions
- Inside technical sales experience
- Program management experience

Industrial Paint Technician
Job duties will include:
- Prepares plastic prototype parts of various size and geometry for use as master models by sanding and filling surface imperfections then priming and cleaning in preparation for application of top coats consisting of a range of textures, smooth or hi-gloss finishes.
- Selecting, mixing and maintaining all paints used for production.
- Performs cleaning and maintenance of departmental equipment as required.
Requirements:
- Candidates must possess skills and previous experience in the painting field.
- Model making background is desirable.
- Experience in automotive or industrial painting will be considered.
- Organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail while producing quality parts in a timely manner are critical.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime is required.
- Ability to maintain a good attendance record is mandatory.
- Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
Prototype CNC Programmer/Machinist
Requirements:
- Proficient in programming using Mastercam version X5 for Hass machine centers
- Machining all types of plastic and metals
- Minimum 2 years experience with Haas CNC Lathe and Haas CNC VMC'S
Finishing Technician
Requirements:
- Basic understanding of all part finishing techniques and the ability to complete tasks with moderate supervision in a timely manner.
- Basic understanding of part cleaning and curing processes.
- Measure parts using applicable tools and software and reporting results.
- Basic math skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience working with hands (fine motor skills).

Manufacturing Engineer
Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in a custom manufacturing environment
Job duties will include:
- Develop manufacturing plans based on project engineering and client purchase order requirements and internal requirements including milestones to ensure on-time delivery
- Consult with management, project engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes
- Blueprint/drawing review to allow proper planning and inspection
- Fixture/tooling design and implementation
- Solid modeling to design fixtures and tooling
- Provide MRB/NCR support
- Qualify and interface with suppliers to secure services necessary to meet customer requirements and delivery schedules
- Write and maintain Work instructions, BOMs, process specifications and reports
- Coordinate with manufacturing and QA on scheduling, tracking inventories and shipments
- Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods
- Lay out work areas for optimum efficiency and quality
- Helps resolve bottleneck production problems
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles
- Perform other tasks as required by the Project Engineering Manager
Qualification & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in Aerospace and Medical Manufacturing environments desired
- Good personal, verbal and written communication skills
- Program management skills and good organizational skills
- Computer proficiency with MS Windows, MS Office
- 3D CAD experience, ProE or SolidWorks preferred

Responsibilities:
- Perform incoming, in-process and final inspection and testing as required by the Work Instructions and Purchase Orders
- Create NCR’s and assure dispositions are carried out
- Perform in-process inspection and testing as required by the Work Instructions and drawings
- Perform final inspection and testing as required by the Work Instructions and drawings
- Enforce company quality standards with special regard to: customer satisfaction; product accuracy and appearance; and on time deliveries
- Assist manufacturing departments in implementing quality systems such as: ISO 9001 and AS9100, internal and external monitoring, continuous process improvement, employee training
- Maintain and archive all quality records that are assigned to QA/QC department
- Assist is maintaining accurate, up to date Work Instructions
- Some clerical responsibilities including ordering the groups supplies
- Participate in all 5 “S” activities as assigned
- Perform other tasks as required by the Quality Assurance Director/Manager
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Use of inspection tools
- Blueprint reading

Normal working hours are 8:00-5:00, Monday – Friday, with some overtime possible.
Pay range is $12-$14 depending on experience and qualifications
