SOLID CONCEPTS ADDS Z-CORP 3D COLOR PRINTING TECHNOLOGY
Tucson, AZ - September 2011
Tucson, AZ – Solid Concepts, a supplier of rapid prototyping and production parts, has recently added Z-Corp 3D Color Printing to its already diverse technology lineup. The new additive manufacturing technology will be housed at Solid Concepts' Tucson, AZ manufacturing facility.
Z-Corp 3D Color Prints will add additional robustness to the lower end of Solid Concepts' technology spectrum. This 3D printing technology will be available with the bright white zp150-Z-Bond material. Z-Corp 3D Color printing is a cost effective solution for projects that do not require high accuracy or strength. By using a 4 color printing technology, color is printed directly into the parts during the build process, eliminating the need for paint during post-processing. Color can be printed into the part directly from 3D CAD files that support color mesh, such as VRML, PLY, 3DS and ZPR. Z-Corp 3D Color Prints are frequently used for basic appearance models, figurines, architectural models, student projects, and space studies due to their aesthetic appearance and fast turn-around time.
