VALENCIA, CA – Solid Concepts Inc. has introduced an exceptional new material providing excellent mechanical properties to its’ SLS materials offering. NyTek 1200 CF is a Carbon Fiber Polyamide Composite SLS material. This next-generation material provides excellent mechanical properties for Rapid Manufacturing in the most demanding applications and has performance characteristics unlike current SLS materials. The carbon fiber material is alluring with a dark gray, sparkling look. It has uncommon brilliant reflexes characterized by stiffness and extremely high UTS, excellent surface finish, and is resistant to high heat exposures with a heat deflection temperature of 348°F @ 264 psi (175.4°C @ 1.82 MPa) per ASTM D648. This material is particularly well suited to applications which require superior mechanical properties, offering the highest strength to weight ratio of any SLS material available today.
