Solid Concepts recently expanded their FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) operations. Additional state-of-the-art FDM machines have been added to the already advanced equipment list, allowing for even larger projects to be produced at a rapid pace.

FDM is ideal for both prototype and end-use parts created from production materials. Solid Concepts currently offers three rugged materials:
High strength-to- weight ratio and Flame Smoke and Toxicity rating. Suitable for transportation applications with certifications in aerospace, marine and ground vehicle industries.
Industrial thermoplastic that meets ISO 10993-1 and USP Class VI classification 1. Commonly used in food and drug packaging and medical device manufacturing.
Strong and functional parts for use as concept models, functional prototypes, manufacturing tools and production parts.
